- 3 cups leftover cooked turkey, shredded or chopped
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn, green beans)
- 1 cup turkey gravy
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter for sautéing
- 4 cups leftover stuffing (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the frozen mixed vegetables, seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the leftover turkey, gravy, and milk. Continue stirring until heated through, about 3-5 minutes.
- Combine the leftover stuffing and the beaten egg in a mixing bowl. If using cheese, fold it in.
- Pour the turkey mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish, then spread the stuffing mixture evenly on top.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Consider using fresh vegetables or glancing at some healthier alternatives like leaving out the cheese or using non-dairy milk.
