Tangy Strawberry Guacamole

  • Author: zenola-morgan

Description

A delightful twist on traditional guacamole that combines creamy avocado with sweet strawberries for a refreshing dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe avocados, creamy and slightly soft
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
  • 1 lime, juiced (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional for a spicy kick)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (or parsley for a different flavor)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your avocados. Cut them in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash them gently with a fork until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  2. Squeeze the lime juice over the mashed avocados to add zesty flavor and prevent browning. Then, fold in the diced strawberries.
  3. Add the finely chopped red onion and minced jalapeño. Stir everything together gently, ensuring the ingredients are well combined.
  4. Toss in the fresh cilantro (or parsley) and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Give it one last gentle stir to integrate everything.
  5. Serve immediately for the best taste, or store covered tightly with plastic wrap to minimize oxidation.

Notes

For a vegan option, ensure all ingredients are plant-based. Great served with baked tortilla chips, veggie sticks, or as a topping for tacos.
