- 1 medium onion, sliced

- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
- 8 hamburger buns or brioche rolls
- Optional toppings: coleslaw, pickles, or sliced jalapeños
Instructions
- Start by placing the chicken breasts or thighs at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Now, sprinkle the minced garlic and sliced onions over the chicken.
- Next, drizzle in the barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
- Season the mixture with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid, set it to low, and let it work its magic for 6 to 8 hours.
- Once the cooking time is up, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker, mixing it back with the remaining sauce.
- Serve the BBQ shredded chicken on hamburger buns or brioche rolls with your choice of toppings.
