Description

Ingredients

  • 1 (4-6 pound) turkey breast, boneless and skinless
  • ¼ cup olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (such as parsley or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a roasting pan with a rack.
  2. Whisk together the olive oil or melted butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, and sage in a medium bowl.
  3. Rub the herb mixture generously over the turkey breast.
  4. Place the turkey breast in the roasting pan on the rack and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part.
  5. Roast until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For added flavor, consider stuffing the turkey breast with a mixture of spinach and feta or mushrooms and herbs. The recipe can be prepared a day in advance to enhance the flavors.
