Description
A rich and creamy peanut butter hummus that serves as a versatile dip for veggies, snacks, or spreads.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1–2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- Water, as needed to adjust consistency
- Optional toppings: paprika, chopped parsley, or crushed peanuts
Instructions
- Start by gathering all your ingredients.
- Add the rinsed chickpeas to the food processor first.
- Toss in the peanut butter, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy texture.
- Taste and adjust the flavors.
- Transfer your peanut butter hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
- Sprinkle paprika, crushed peanuts, or chopped parsley for garnish.
Notes
If you don’t have tahini, you can omit it, but adding it enhances creaminess. For a nut-free version, try almond butter or sunflower seed butter.
