- 1 pound of beef (flank steak, sirloin, or ribeye), thinly sliced
- 2 cups of broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon of grated ginger (optional)
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce or coconut aminos for a gluten-free option
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by heating your oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the hot oil in a single layer.
- Allow it to brown without stirring for about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the beef, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the same skillet.
- Toss in the broccoli florets with a splash of water to create steam.
- Cover the skillet for about 3-4 minutes.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
Consider adding red pepper flakes for extra heat or substitute beef with chicken for a different take.
