Soft, fluffy, and slightly sweet Hawaiian sweet rolls, perfect for breakfast.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 envelope instant yeast (about 2¼ teaspoons)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix the warmed milk, melted butter, and eggs in a separate bowl.
- Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients while mixing gently.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, covering with a damp cloth.
- Allow the dough to rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
- Punch the dough down, divide into 12 equal pieces, and shape them into balls.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes.
- Let the rolls cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a vegan option, replace regular milk with plant-based milk. To make them lighter, consider using coconut oil instead of butter.
