- 1 pound Fresh green beans
- 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by washing the green beans thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
- Trim the ends of the green beans by snapping them off or using a knife.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the green beans to the skillet, tossing them into the garlicky oil. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for around 5–7 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the green beans.
- If desired, drizzle lemon juice and toss in red pepper flakes before serving.
Notes
For vegan options, substitute Parmesan with nutritional yeast. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
