A creamy and savory green bean casserole that’s perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk (or a non-dairy alternative)
- 1 ½ cups French fried onions
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce.
- Fold in the green beans and mix until coated.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the French fried onions on top.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle remaining onions and cheese, if using.
- Return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes until onions are golden brown.
- Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for half of the cream of mushroom soup. Can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
