- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: squeeze of lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Once the butter is bubbling, add the minced garlic, cooking for about 1 minute.
- Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet, searing each side for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken breasts.
- Carefully transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes.
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.
- Just before serving, garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
Notes
For a gourmet twist, consider adding fresh herbs or red pepper flakes for heat. This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or a light salad.
