Description
Warm and fluffy garlic bread rolls infused with savory garlic and herbs, perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (or almond milk)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted, plus more for brushing)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, or 1 tbsp dried parsley)
- Optional: 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Mix the warm milk and sugar in a bowl, then sprinkle the yeast over the top. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Combine the flour, salt, ground black pepper, and parsley in a large mixing bowl. Mix these dry ingredients well.
- Create a well in the center of the flour mixture.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the well, and then add the melted butter and minced garlic. Stir gently until everything starts to come together.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch the dough down gently and divide it into equal portions.
- Shape each portion into a roll and arrange them on a greased baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with optional Parmesan cheese.
- Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until they’re golden brown.
Notes
For lighter alternatives, use whole wheat flour, dairy-free milk, or replace butter with olive oil. These rolls can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 1 month.
