Description

A delightful casserole featuring layers of corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and flaky crescent rolls, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1 pound corned beef, chopped
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Open the cans of crescent dough and unroll them, laying one layer in the baking dish.
  4. Mix the chopped corned beef, drained sauerkraut, shredded Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing in a large bowl.
  5. Spread the corned beef mixture evenly over the crescent dough.
  6. Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place it over the top of the filling.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For healthier options, try using turkey bacon, whole wheat crescent dough, or low-fat cheese.
