Description

A hearty, comforting casserole made with meatballs, marinara, pasta, and cheese, perfect for any weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen meatballs (beef or chicken)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine frozen meatballs, marinara sauce, cooked pasta, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove the foil and let it bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure not to use thawed meatballs to maintain their form. Overcooked pasta can lead to a mushy dish.
