Description

A comforting and easy-to-make corn casserole perfect for family gatherings and holiday feasts.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) cream-style corn
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the drained whole kernel corn and cream-style corn in a large mixing bowl. Add in the sour cream and melted butter; mix until smooth.
  3. Add the cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheese if using.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
