  • Author: zenola-morgan
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A creamy, zesty sauce that enhances tacos, burritos, and grilled meats with a smoky kick.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sour cream (preferably full-fat)
  • 1–2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon adobo sauce from the chipotle can
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by mixing the sour cream, chipotle peppers, minced garlic, lime juice, adobo sauce, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Taste your mixture! Adjust the heat or add more lime juice if desired.
  3. Fold in the chopped cilantro for a fresh touch, then set aside for about 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the sauce into a serving bowl, and it’s ready to accompany your favorite dishes!

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use reduced-fat sour cream. Substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for tanginess or cashew cream for a vegan option.
