Description
A delightful dessert that combines the classic flavors of a banana split into a creamy fluff, perfect for gatherings or as a sweet treat at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup of crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup of strawberries, chopped (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows
- 1 cup of sweetened shredded coconut
- 2 cups of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup (for drizzling)
- Maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by gathering your ingredients. Make sure you have everything ready so you can work efficiently. Slice the bananas, chop the strawberries, and drain the crushed pineapple.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whipped topping and vanilla yogurt. Stir until smooth and well mixed.
- Gently fold in the sliced bananas, chopped strawberries, drained pineapple, mini marshmallows, and shredded coconut into the whipped topping mixture.
- If you’re using nuts, add the chopped pecans or walnuts. They’ll add a lovely crunch to your dessert.
- Once everything is combined, transfer the mixture to a serving dish or individual cups.
- For an extra touch, drizzle some chocolate syrup over the top. Add maraschino cherries for that classic banana split flair.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes.
Notes
For a vegan version, use dairy-free whipped topping and coconut yogurt. You may substitute bananas with peaches or apples if desired.
