Description
A restaurant-quality dish that’s easy to prepare at home, featuring salmon with a creamy lemon butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Juice of 2 lemons (zest for extra flavor)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Fresh parsley or dill, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Place your salmon fillets on the sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake the salmon for about 12-15 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
- While the salmon is baking, melt the unsalted butter in a medium sauté pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Bring it to a simmer and cook for a few minutes until it thickens.
- Stir in the lemon juice and Dijon mustard.
- Once the sauce has thickened, remove it from heat.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and spoon the creamy lemon sauce generously over each fillet.
- Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or dill for garnish.
Notes
Allow the salmon to rest briefly after taking it out of the oven for better moisture retention.
