Ingredients

  • 1 round of Brie cheese (about 8 ounces)
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1/2 cup of fruit preserves (like apricot or raspberry)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme)
  • Optional: honey for drizzling
  • Crackers or sliced baguette (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Roll out the sheet of puff pastry to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  3. Place the round of Brie in the center of the pastry.
  4. Spread the fruit preserves over the top of the Brie.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the fruit preserves.
  6. Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the cheese.
  7. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the pastry.
  8. Place the wrapped Brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.
  10. Let it cool for a minute before serving. Drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
