Description

A creamy and cozy breakfast that tastes like apple pie and is perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 apple (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji), diced
  • Optional toppings: chopped walnuts or pecans, raisins, granola, extra yogurt, or a drizzle of maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add the rolled oats to your jar or container.
  2. Pour in the milk, then add Greek yogurt.
  3. Stir in chia seeds if you’re using them, plus cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup, and that tiny pinch of salt.
  4. Mix really well. Make sure there aren’t dry clumps of oats hiding at the bottom.
  5. Add diced apple. If you want it super fresh and crisp, save the apple for the morning.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, but overnight is best.
  7. In the morning, give it a good stir. If it looks too thick, splash in a little more milk. Then top it however you like.

Notes

If you prefer crisp apple bites, add them in the morning. If you like softer apple pie vibes, add them the night before.
