A delightful dessert featuring tender, warm apples baked with cinnamon, brown sugar, and a hint of vanilla, easily made in an air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (or coconut oil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Start by washing the apples thoroughly and then carefully core them.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, rolled oats, chopped nuts, butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Generously stuff each apple with the filling mixture.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Arrange the stuffed apples in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook the apples for about 12-15 minutes.
  7. Once done, remove the apples carefully and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a drizzle of honey or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence. Consider using sugar substitutes for a healthier option.
